St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church as we know it today was built in 1961 in the hamlet known as Pine Grove. Prior to the establishment of the church Catholic families that resided in Vaughan had to attend Mass in St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Thornhill.
